It's a three piece outfit consisting of guitar/vocals, bass and drums. The band has collectively over 75 years experience behind them and has been influenced by many different genre's of music. Primarily the band's music is based around the classic power trio rock format but with a funk, blues and occasional reggae feel - totally awesome!

Formed in the late 1980's as a vehicle for Jon's self penned songs, the Boogie Band gigged extensively for a few years, but then unfortunately disbanded. The band reformed in 1999 and our first CD 'The Inevitable' was a culmination of a project they had talked about for a long time, consisting of songs from the early days of the band to the present. This was followed in 2001 by 'Calm Before The Storm'. Guests on this album include:

  • Snake Davis: Soprano Sax
  • Jaqueline Gorman: Vocals
  • Nigel Neil: Keyboards / Electric Percussion

  • Although primarily performing their own brand of material, the band also interpret some classic rock songs in their own style including Pat Travers, Joe Satriani and Jeff Healey.

The band can regularly be seen in the East Anglia area headlining many festivals and performing on the local and national rock circuit. The Harley Davidson 100th year celebrations at Littleport in 2003 saw the band supporting such acts as The Hamsters and The Groundhogs and brought them particular recognition from an energetic and powerful set.

As musicians, the band members are very busy with other projects and more recently have dedicated many of the Boogie Band gigs to fund raising for the British Heart Foundation and Sue Ryder Care.

Jon and Dave can also be found playing in Secret Green - 14th Century Spinal Tap
